Pipeline Coating

Pipeline Internal & External Coating for any industry. Pipelines are vein and arteries of any plant, these pipelines need to function smoothly to achieve optimum efficiency. However, as vein and arteries in human body get affected by cholesterol, the pipelines in plant get affected by corrosion. We offer high performance epoxy glass flake, vinyl ester glass flake, and Polyester glass flake coatings to combat these corrosion issues.

This corrosion of pipelines can be due to properties of water / fluid flowing through it as well as some impurities. Corrosion is a natural phenomenon, and all bare pipes or metal surfaces gets corroded in due course of time.

Kirloskar Corrocoat Private Limited (KCPL) has experience in the protection of hundreds of kilometer's of large and small-bore pipework each year, using KCPL materials developed specifically for application to pipe internals and externals deployed in even the most arduous conditions i.e. Epoxy Glass Flake & Polyester Glass Flake Coating.

Our coatings and linings are used in many sectors for the protection of pipelines and in different service environments. This includes pipes which carry materials such oil and gas seawater, industrial effluent and potable water, Crude Oil etc. We provide advanced chemical and temperature resistance (up to 150oC immersed/240oC non-immersed), with our coating technology, as well as mechanical strength and robust performance with extremely low solvent emissions.

KCPL utilises a range of specialist application techniques, ranging from pipe spinning method to advanced down-pipe blasting and coating equipment, offering high quality finishes combined with fast turnaround and reduced downtime. As a result, improved pipe coating can now be achieved using almost all the materials within our coating range.

  • Pipe Spinning method - For pipes of Dia. 3” & 4”

Coating material is poured inside pipe and Pipes are mounted on a machine to rotated at specified speed. Due to centrifugal action coating takes place on inner surface of pipes. Here Pipes are rotating while machine is stationary.

  • Pipe Sprayer Method - For Pipes of Dia. 6” to 30”

Pipe Sprayer is passed inside pipe along the length. The rotating cup at head of machine rotates at high speed. The cup will have swivel movement and pipe sprayed is pulled back with constant speed winch. This creates fan pattern and coating is deposited on inner surface of pipe. Here pipe is stationary while machine is moving.

  • Airless Spray method - For Pipes above 30” dia.

For bigger pipes, person enters inside pipe using paper overhaul to avoid any contamination. The coating is applied by spray application using airless spray.

Application of KCPL make glass flake filled coatings ensures that metal surface is isolated from corrosive fluid/ media and glass flakes in the coating ensured barrier layer which reduces permeation of moisture vapour through coating. This ensures long life of coating than any conventional coating system.
